The FTP-Tools utility send and receive Objects, Libraries, Product-Licences and Program Temporary Fixes(PTF) to PC and to the iSeries. Plus a utility to convert iSeries Spoolfiles into HTML format. Uses for FTP-Tools:

• Easy to handle.
• Comes with an complete menue.
• Use to send everything to anyone over the Internet.
• Use to send joblogs to anyone.

• V4R4 or later is required.
• You must create a SAVEFILE using the command CRTSAVF QGPL/FTPLIB

• QSECOFR or GRPPRF *QSECOFR
• Access to the root directory TEMP or TMP of your iSeries.
• Client Access installed
• PC with connection to your iSeries.

PC:

• Save the ftplib.zip
• Unzip the file FTPLIB from ftplib.zip to your root c:/
• Run FTP in a DOS Box on your PC and upload the save file to the iSeries
• FTP [HOSTNAME or IP-Address]
• {enter the sign on information}
• BINARY
• PUT FTPLIB
• BYE
• QUIT
• Delete the File Ftplib on C:\

On the iSeries:

• RSTLIB SAVLIB(FTPLIB) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(FTPLIB) MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL)
• After you have restored the library, add the FTPLIB library to the library list using the command ADDLIBLE FTPLIB *LAST
• DLTF QGPL/FTPLIB
• Start by typing GO FTP000
